It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And if you can’t be at the Most Magical Place on Earth, at least you can celebrate the magic and Christmas with this list of my family’s favorite Disney Christmas movies.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And if you can’t be at the Most Magical Place on Earth, at least you can celebrate the magic and Christmas with this list of my family’s favorite Disney Christmas movies.
Nightmare Before Christmas. Probably my favorite on the list. It’s a Halloween and Christmas movie (it made both lists). Need a snack and activity – check out this Haunted House Cookie kit before the show or play Monopoly!
Santa Clause. In my personal Top 10 list of Christmas movies. This feel good series stars Tim Allen who “falls” into the role of Santa. Need a snack – try these winter hot cocoa bombs, or if you want an activity – make your own.
Santa Clause 2. Santa find Mrs. Claus!
Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. The in-laws visit and Jack Frost meddles in chaos. Personally, I don’t love this one when compared to the original. But my kids say it should stay on the list because Jack Frost is a great villain.
Noelle. Anna Kendrick, who is hilarious and adorable, stars as the daughter of Santa. Happy endings are my favorite. Need an activity – get your Santa hats ready for viewing!
Santa Buddies. The Buddies are back celebrating Christmas in this film. Need a treat – enjoy some Muddy Buddies Chex Mix, we call it “puppy chow”.
The Search for Santa Paws. Santa loses his memory and Paws saves the day!
Santa Paws 2. The pups stow away on Mrs. Claus’ visit to the children. Let the fun ensue!
Prep and Landing. We were surprised at how fun this film is – and it’s now a part of our regular holiday rotation. Mission Impossible meets Christmas elves! Enjoy some candy canes during the watch party!
Home Alone. Maybe the best Christmas movie of all time. Kevin is “home alone” and defends his house against the “Wet Bandits”. You’ll want pizza and “rubbish” ice cream sundaes to go with this film. Check out these fun bowls or the whole kit here!
Home Alone 2. Kevin is at it again but in the Big Apple this time! Need an activity – this yellow cab lego set is perfect.
A Muppet Christmas Carol. A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite stories. The Muppet version is perfect with Kermit as Bob Cratchit.
Disney’s A Christmas Carol. Starring Jim Carrey this live action-ish story is a retelling of the tale.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol. Also on our permanent holiday rotation, as my favorite version of Charles Dickens’ original story. Need an activity – follow along with this amazing die cut book.
Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse. Need and activity – check out this list of Christmas party themes.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas. This one is usually on repeat around our house, all three kiddos love it and (secretly) I kind of do too!
Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas. Double dose of Disney Christmas magic. Need an activity – check out the list of kids Christmas games.
Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year. Pooh and friends skip Christmas and celebrate the New Year! Need a snack – honeysticks are super easy to find and a quick treat that you don’t have to share with the “silly old bear”.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. Everyone loves Olaf – simple and funny humor in this sweet story. Need an activity – build a snowman outdoors or indoors.
Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas. Chip and Mrs. Potts help Belle and her Beast through some holiday trouble. Need an activity – start with the original story book.
I’m super jazzed to learn which movie is your favorite – or maybe it didn’t make it on the list and you should tell me about it. If you watch a movie and do an activity tag The Most Magical Blog or me (directly) on social media!
