Disney World Garden Grill – Restaurant Review

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast at Garden Grill was the perfect surprise on our recent Walt Disney World Vacation! Our first visit post-pandemic had me a little concerned that it wouldn’t feel quite as magical. Our beloved Chef Mickey’s arrival night meal was still closed and we needed a “Plan B” STAT! Garden Grill also stars most of the Fab 5, so we knew it would be great. {Spoiler Alert: It was SO magical!}

Here’s what you should know about the Garden Grill Dining Experience.
  1. Advanced Dining Reservation (ADRs) are required for this location. Garden Grill is one of the most-popular restaurants on Walt Disney World Resort® property. You’ll want to snag that ADR as soon as possible. Currently, ADRs can be made 60 days prior to arrival.
  2. Location. Garden Grill is located in The Land Pavilion at EPCOT® Need to know how to get there? Check out the blog on Disney Parks Transportation.
  1. Characters. Best pals – Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Chip & Dale appear in their farmer gear. Bring your straw hat (or ears) and rustle up some good grub! In order to keep socially distant while we were there, character friends roam the upper deck circle of the restaurant, rather than visiting each table. Now that hugs have returned the characters will spend time at your table, and during our visit they circled around twice.
  2. Food. The delicious farm-style menu feels like it came right from the gardens in Living with the Land Presented by Chiquita®. Family style meals are all you care to eat. They begin with rolls, butter, and salad. Followed by tender braised beef, roasted turkey breast, roasted pork, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, perfectly cooked green beans, and cranberry sauce. For real, these are the best green beans ever – I don’t know what kind of magic they sprinkle on them. To finish your meal a warm, seasonal short cake or cobbler with vanilla ice cream.
  1. Atmosphere. The magic of this restaurant is that it rotates in a circle, like a lazy-Susan. The rotation provides some great views into Living with the Land Presented by Chiquita® – one of our favorite rides in the EPCOT®.
Have you been to the Garden Grill before? It sometimes feels like a “secret, hidden Mickey” to me – tucked away in a place with so much amazing food!
pro tip star and sparkles

Character meals are my favorite with little kids because – they allow some “entertainment” that isn’t a screen to keep kids entertained during a sort of long sit down meal. Also, they’re a great way to meet many characters at once without waiting in a handful of lines to see all your favorite pals.
