Best Snacks & Eats at Downtown Disney District

Looking for the best snacks at Downtown Disney?

Downtown Disney is one of my favorite places to eat at Disneyland. It’s easy, flexible, and perfect for snack hopping without committing to a full park day or a long sit-down meal.

If you love snack posts like my Best Snacks at Magic Kingdom, Best Snacks at EPCOT, or Best Snacks at Disney Springs, this is your Disneyland Downtown Disney counterpart. If you’re looking for Snacks at Disneyland Park or California Adventure Park -go check those out and come back. This is not a complete dining guide. This is a best eats and snacks list featuring the things I crave, recommend, and would absolutely order again.

Best Ice Cream at Downtown Disney

Salt & Straw

Let’s talk about the flavor that sounds questionable but is secretly elite: pear & blue cheese. I know. I hesitated too. It’s creamy, slightly savory, and surprisingly balanced. Even skeptics tend to come around.

They also usually offer a seasonal strawberry flavor that’s bright, fresh, and delightful. If you want something lighter but still memorable, this is it.

Best Grab-and-Go Sandwich

Earl of Sandwich

The Holiday Turkey sandwich is the only thing I ever order here and for good reason. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy all tucked into one perfect sandwich.

This is one of the easiest meals to grab on the way back to your resort or before heading into the parks.

Best Burgers & Over-the-Top Shakes

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes

This spot delivers on everything. Top-notch burgers, indulgent shakes, and a menu that actually lives up to the hype.

My favorite burgers:

  • Black Truffle Burger
  • Mexico City Burger
  • Black Bean Burger (which is genuinely excellent)

Now the shakes. The CrazyShakes are iconic:

  • Strawberry Shortcake
  • Brooklyn Blackout
  • Bam Bam Shake with Fruity Pebbles for pure nostalgia

PROTIP: There is a walk-up window just for shakes and desserts, which makes “just one more treat” dangerously easy.

Best All-Around Restaurant

Jazz Kitchen

Honestly, it’s all good here. Everything I’ve had has been solid. It’s a slightly higher price point, but the quality matches.

This is a great option when your group can’t agree on what they want because there’s something for everyone.

Best Sit-Down Dining Experience

Din Tai Fung

It’s exactly what you want it to be. If you love dumplings, Din Tai Fung is a must-do at least once. Popular for a reason, worth the stop.

Best Classic Snack

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs

This is elite snack food.

Order the:

  • Pickle Dog with peanut butter sauce
  • Cheese on a Stick
  • Or the classic corn dog, which may ruin all other corn dogs forever

Crunchy, salty, and completely worth it.

Best Surprise Pick

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

This is not bowling alley food. The sushi, drinks, and entire menu are genuinely delicious. Yes, you can go bowling, but you can also just come for the food and still have a great time.

Perfect for groups or when you want something a little different.

Best Sweet Treats to Take Back to Your Resort

Kayla’s Cake

If you love French macarons, don’t skip this stop. Light, colorful, and perfect for enjoying later back at your hotel.

Specialty Churros

California Churro

They offer fun specialty churros with creative flavors. That said, I still think the best churros are inside the parks, so I wouldn’t prioritize this one over the other snacks on this list.

Several restaurants at Downtown Disney District will deliver directly to Disneyland Resort hotels, which is perfect after a long park day when you’re tired but still hungry.

That said, Downtown Disney is also incredibly easy to walk through, grab food, and head right back to your resort. No park ticket required, no reservations needed, just really good food exactly when you want it.

Final Thoughts

Downtown Disney is ideal for snack lovers who want flexibility. Whether you’re craving ice cream, burgers, dumplings, or the best corn dog you’ll eat all trip, this area makes it easy to eat well without overplanning.

If snacks are your love language, Downtown Disney delivers.

And if you’re planning a Disney World trip too, be sure to check out my Best Snacks at Magic Kingdom, Best Snacks at EPCOT, Best Snacks at Hollywood Studios, Best Snacks at Animal Kingdom, and Best Snacks at Disney Springs for even more must-eat ideas.
